Most of us Mangaloreans are very familiar with Tulu drama Oryardori Asal which was a super hit in Mangalore and other parts of Karnataka in the early 1990sand was successfully staged innumerable times across the country. Since it grew in popularity many attempts have been done to make it a movie and finally the writer-director Vijaykumar Kodialbail succeeded in making a fine movie out of this wonderful comedy drama.
The inaugural function was held at the Eldorado cinema amidst dignitaries and Padmashree Dr. B.R. Shetty (MD NMC Group) along with crew of the movie Producer Vijaykumar, actors Likith Shetty (Hero), Ramya Barna (Heroine) lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the movie by cutting the ribbon. Sarvotham Shetty (President, Karnataka Sangha Abu Dhabi) welcomed the gathering and the crew members of the movie especially Shodan Prasad (Social Worker) for his initiative for arranging movie to be premiered in U.A.E He also thanked Noel Almeida and others who are involved in this project. He thanked them all for bringing out this movie and made available to the U.A.E. public the love of Tulunadu and said that the movie was run more than 175 shows in Mangalore which in itself speaks highly about the film and its popularity which is very proud moment for all tuluvas.

This Film Was Little dispointing Comedy Lovers Especialy padil fans because Here after interval we are never seen comedy scenes.The director more concentrated on story if thulu audience are like serious story what is the need of going thulu movie they can c other languages movie.Thulu people always like comedy scenes and this movies climax made like drama ending .any way AL the best for this movie
Tulu theatre lovers and the fans of Kapikad and Padil will really be thrilled to watch this move after the re-unite of Padil and Kapikad in "Pudar deethji".Devadas kapikad has to be commended for his efforts for giving the tulu aidience another good film.I am sure all tuluvas will accept the film whole heartedly and will watch movie in the theatrs to encourage the film producers.As it was said some where that the movie is based on the superhit drama "Gante ethand", there is no no doubt that the movie wil also be superhit!Good luck Kapikad. At this stage it is unfair to compare kapikad's and Vijaykumar's films as we all know they both are creative dramatists and have their own way of film /drama making.Two are the supporting pillars of tulu theatre!
Oriyardori Asal, the movie that is credited with the revival, also tapped into the humour vein and was an unprecedented hit, clocking over a 25 week-run. The comedy, starring Likith Shetty, Ramya Barna, Naveen Padil and Aravind Bolar, originated as a stage production and revolves around a misunderstanding between a landlord and his tenant.
He further said that comedy king Navin D Padil acted in a double role, and also Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Satish Bandale and others enacted in the movie. The songs in the movie have already become hits.
Speaking to the media, hero of the film Karthik said that I am very happy to say that in the first show only we get lot of good opinion of the film by the viewers. This film have good story and its based on real life story of rickshaw driver. The film filled with entertainment, it includes both action and comedy, I am sure that the people will like this movie he opined.
